Last June 17, Governor Lray Villafuerte signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding with South Korean firms Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation, CS Tech Co., and Wizzard Energy Corporation, along with Philippine firm KPP Philippines Corporation — bringing up to $1 billion in investments and 1,000 megawatts of clean energy development to Camarines Sur. This marks another defining moment in our province’s rise as the Renewable Energy Capital of the Philippines.
The projects include:
𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺𝘀 on the waters of Lake Buhi and Lake Bato — turning our natural treasures into engines of sustainable power.
𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲-𝘁𝗼-𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 across the province — addressing our waste challenges while generating clean, reliable electricity for our communities.
𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝘃𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗡𝗩𝗦 under the Xentro Group of Companies — expanding green mobility and putting CamSur at the forefront of sustainable transportation.
Financing comes from private banks, the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), and other international climate funds. The Provincial Government commits to supporting all necessary permits and documents to move these projects forward without delay.
For every Camarinense, this means 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗯𝘀, 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 — delivered by a province that does not just talk about development, but gets it done.
