The “Walang Gutom” Food Stamps Program, an initiative dedicated to fighting hunger and ensuring food security, benefited 440 families in Iriga City. The program, spearheaded by Mayor Rex Oliva and Vice Mayor Edsel Dimaiwat, was held on October 10, 2024, at the Sports Center in Sta. Cruz Sur. The event was organized through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), led by Ms. Maridel Verosa.

This monthly program aims to provide essential food assistance to the city’s most vulnerable residents. Mayor Rex expressed his commitment to addressing hunger in the community and thanked the CSWDO team for their tireless efforts in implementing the initiative.

Beneficiaries of the “Walang Gutom” program are reminded to attend the monthly distribution events to continue receiving food stamps. The local government emphasizes the importance of consistent participation to ensure ongoing support for families in need.

The “Walang Gutom” program remains a vital part of Iriga City’s broader mission to uplift its residents, fostering community involvement while addressing the pressing issue of food insecurity.
