Nag-alok ng ibang solusyon ang dalawang kinatawan ng kongreso mula sa probinsya sa halip na magpatupad ng provincial bus ban.
Ayon kay Camarines Sur 2ND District Congress Lray Villafuerte, maaari naman limitahan na lamang sa madaling araw ang dating ng mga provincial bus sa Metro Manila.
Nagkaisa rin sina Villafuerte at Ako Bicol partylist representative Alfredo Garbin na anti-poor ang panuntunang ito na isinusulong ng MMDA.

While you are prohibiting provincial buses to go to EDSA, the LTFRB is allowing 14,000 premium taxis to support the more than 50,000 passengers daily from the stop of Sta. Rosa and Valenzuela, Madam Chair. Then, there will be 2,000 new P2P buses at both stop of points to enter EDSA,” ani Villafuerte.
Sinegundahan ni Garbin si Cong. Villafuerte na madaling araw ang dating sa Metro Manila ng mga bus galing probinsya kaya’t hindi sila ang dahilan ng trapik sa EDSA.
Kasabay nito, kinuwestyon ni Garbin kung ano ang magiging kaibahan kung padidiretsuhin na lamang sa Metro Manila ang mga provincial buses at sa paglipat sa P2P buses ng mga pasahero kung hanggang Sta. Rosa o Valenzuela na lamang ang mga bus mula sa probinsya.
