Hacking incident transpired at Brgy. Masidlakon, Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte at about 8:00 PM, November 1, 2020. The victim was identified as Danny Parcotelo Oneñesa ,44 years old, male, married and a resident of abovementioned place. He was brought to the local hospital sustaining hack wound at his head and neck.
Immediately PNP personnel of Dapitan City Police Station proceeded to the said hospital and conducted follow operation to the aforementioned place after inquiry conducted.
Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, victim had heated argument with his brother named Junie Parcotelo Oneñesa, 48 years old, male, married and a resident of the said place and after the said argument, and the brother went home. Minutes later, the victim went to the brother house and that hacking incident ensued. The victim sustained hacked wound on his head and neck.
The suspect fled the scene after the incident. Responding team conducted hot pursuit operation that resulted to the arrest of the said suspect. The arrested person is now under the police custody of Dapitan City Police Station for proper disposition. (PCpt. Edwin A. Duco, Chief Public Information Officer)
