Stabbing incident transpired at Purok Riverside, Balangasan, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:40 PM of November 1, 2020, wherein victim identified as Ariel Delos Santos Pepito, 26 years old, male, and a resident of Purok Riverside, Balangasan, Pagadian City was stabbed by suspect identified as Christopher Daval Tacang, 32 years old, male, single, and a resident of Purok Sarilikha, Poblacion, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur.
Initial investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, victim together with some neighbors singing on their videoke machine, the suspect arrived and a few moments later engaged an intense argument with the victim which resulted of the said stabbing incident. The victim sustained one stabbed wound on his left umbilical region and immediately rushed to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City for medical treatment.
The suspect was arrested at the crime scene and recovered he knife used in the crime by the responding PNP personnel. Suspect is now under custody of Pagadian City Police Station for filing of appropriate charges. (PCpt. Edwin A. Duco, Chief Public Information Officer)
