Global group helps promotion drive in ‘Discover CDO’


As part of their program to promote different areas in the Philippines, over 60 members of the global group Entrepreneur’s Organization visited Cagayan de Oro for their three-day “Discover CDO” activity.”Their intention is to promote. This year, they chose Cagayan de Oro for their activity,” Oro-TIPC Head John W. Asuncion said. The participants arrived on March 17, starting their tour around the city with a skills training activity in Barangay Dansolihon.

On March 18, they visited Museo de Oro on the campus of Xavier University and the City Museum of Cagayan de Oro or the city’s old water tower. This was followed by an outdoor lunch at the Gaston Park.

The Entrepreneur’s Organization participants also got to experience the thrill of whitewater rafting the following day.
“In their Discover CDO activity, they want the non-Kagay-anon participants to really discover CDO, what’s it like to live in CDO ug unsay makita nila diri,” Asuncion said.

“One of those places nga hang out sa ordinary Kagay-anon [is the Gaston Park]. They decided to have their lunch out in the open to feel what it is like to have lunch there,” he added.

The Oro-TIPC head further said that more than 50 participants came from outside Cagayan de Oro, such as Manila, Cebu, Iloilo, among others. Part of their tour around the Cagayan de Oro was to ride the city’s iconic motorela.

Discover CDO ended with a convention on Monday, March 20.
