Five Rebels Surrender To The Police Forces In Caraga Amid The COVID-19 Crisis

In a report submitted to Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 Headquarters, alias Dwin, 40, alias Dodot, 38, alias Loling, 40, alias Lucas, 48, and alias Jerry, 46, surrendered to PLt.Col. Dexter Ollaging, Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 13 Commander, at around 11:45am on May 4, bringing with them two rifle grenades and two caliber .38 revolvers.

The rebels cited the lack of food supply as a motivator for their surrender. They added that they have been resorting to extortion and even taking away relief goods from civilians to feed themselves. The rebel returnees are now under the custody of RMFB13. Police forces in the region are making sure that they can avail of the E-CLIP. (PRO13/PIA Caraga/RPN DXKS)
