Davao del Sur – Mokabat sa 20 ka mga sakop sa Rebeldeng New Peoples Army ang gika engkwentro sa mga sakop sa 39th Infantry Battalion niadtong usa ka adlaw (September 13, 2020) sa may Sityo Garok, Barangay Sibulan lungsod sa Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur.
Sumala pa sa opisyal sa 39th Infantry Battalion nga ang Teroristang Grupo nga gikahibalag sa kasundaluhan mao ang sakop ni Roberto G. Castillote, alias INOY/SOLOMON, Commander of Sentro de Grabidad (SDG), Pulang Bagani Command (PBC), Southern Regional Committee (SRC) 3, Southern Mindanao Regional Committee (SMRC).
Nasayran nga ang nahisgutang engkwentro gikamatay sa duha ka mga NPA samtang nakuha usab sa ilang posisyon ang duha (2) ka M16A Riffle, ug duha (2) ka improvised explosive device kun IED ug uban pa ka mga subersibong dokumento nga gioanag iyahan sa mga NPA.
Nasayran pa nga nahitabo ang engkwentro human ang nadawat nga report gikan sa mga nagpakabanang katilingban sa lugar nga dunay presensiya sa mga armadong grupo nga gituuhan nilang mga NPA nga naghimo ug Extortion Activity sa lugar.
Tungod niini, gisubay gilayon sa kasundaluhan ang lugar hinungdan nga nahitabo ang engkwentro. Hinuon, way gikareport nga nadamay nga mga sibilyan sa nahiagutang engkwentro nga milungtad sa pila ka minuto.

“This is a clear indication that people are now denouncing the Communist Terrorist Groups, aware about their deceptions and are tired of giving on to their extortion demands”.
