The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) released on Friday the list of suggested retail prices (SRP) of Noche Buena items amid the holiday season, with the majority keeping the same price level.
In a statement, the Trade department noted that 110 shelf-keeping units (SKUs) have the same prices while 20 SKUs saw decline in prices.
DTI-Consumer Protection Group has ensured the availability and price stability of the products included in the list for the consumers.
“As Covid-19 cases continue to decline and vaccination efforts intensify, the spirit of the holiday season compels our consumers to purchase their favorite Noche Buena products for their families to serve at their dining tables,” DTI Undersecretary Ruth Castelo said.
Ham prices vary from P158 to P204 (500 grams) to P345 to P1,120 (1 kilogram) while 165-g cheese has an SRP of P49.50 to P81.30.
Half a kilogram of keso de bola is priced within P285 to P410.
A spaghetti package (1 kilogram)—pasta, spaghetti sauce and tomato sauce—may cost as much as P219.70 in total.
A kilogram of elbow or salad macaroni is priced within P71.75 to P89.25.
Mayonnaise and sandwich spread (470 milliliters) have an SRP of P96.50 to P169 and P122.85 to P157, respectively.

“The DTI thanks the manufacturers for heeding the call not to increase prices demonstrating their sense of solidarity with our consumers this Christmas despite the Covid-19 pandemic. In doing this, we give wider choices of affordable noche buena products for the Filipino consumers,” Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said.
“Our efforts to reopen safely the economy to bring back more jobs while keeping prices relatively stable will make the Christmas season merrier,” he added.
The DTI advised the public to create a shopping list and refer to the Noche Buena SRP list “to avoid panic buying and ensure value for money.” The department also reminded the consumers to follow the health protocols when shopping in establishments.
