The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council during its second regularly quarterly meeting last May 8, 2025 has resolved for the creation of an Incident Command Post (ICP) which will also serve as the office of the PDRRMO from the unutilized trust fund accumulated in the past years.
The resolution came after a motion was raised by council member, Provincial DILG Director Oliver Ombos which was unanimously seconded by the members of the council who were present.
Director Ombos cited the need of a more conducive ICP and PDRRM office, especially for emergency responders who renders their 24 hours daily duties which include weekdays and holidays.
As per assessment and observation of the current ICP and office, the council found out majority of the space being utilized needs further improvements. The council recommends renovations of the present building or possibly a construction of a new building to improve productivity and better working environment of the PDRRMO services.(Angelica T.
