The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Officers (FO) disbursed the P1,000 Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) to the beneficiaries of the Municipalities of Jose Dalman and Roxas last July 23, 2024.
This cash assistance is provided through the Office of Senator Allan P. Cayetano and administered by the DSWD Field Office of the Zamboanga del Norte province. The Pay-out was carried out diligently with the support of the Municipal Social Welfare Development Office (MSWDO).
Notwithstanding the heat of the day, recipients of the nine (9) Barangays in the Municipality of Jose Dalman received P1000 each under the AICS program of the DSWD. The first batch barangays, namely, Lumaping, Sigamok, Ilihan, Labakid, Lopero, Marupay, Tamarok, Dinasan and Lipay all received the cash assistance. The second batch of barangay releasing of cash assistance will be conducted on July 24.
Meanwhile, at the Municipality of Pres MA Roxas, the recipients for the cash pay – out of P1,000 each were from the eighteen (18) Barangays namely, Situbo, Gubat, Salisig, Villahermosa, Pangologon, Pongolan, Banbanan, Denoman, Minang, Labakid, Galukso, Nabilid, Piao, Dohinob, Lower Irasan, Langatian and Upper Irasan.
According to Mr. Alex Sabal, the OIC – PSWDO, the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation Pay-out is part of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Office program under the protective services for the poor and disadvantaged individuals. It is also a resource augmentation support to Local Government Units (LGU) and other partners.
Atty. Ricky Mejorada who also initiated the AIC pay -out in Jose Dalman stressed that the initiative was successful and was made possible by the strong collaboration between MSWD and DSWD, as well as the full support of Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Governor Rosalina “Nanay Nene” G. Jalosjos with the Provincial Administrator Wilberth “Gaw Jojo” G. Magallanes. (Angelica T. Obina)
