“Battle of the Bands” took to the stage last May 30, 2024 during the second night of Hudyaka Festival 2024, with each contender showcasing their distinctive sound by performing their respective pieces and further creating an electric atmosphere at the Zamboanga del Norte Sports Complex.
The three judges evaluated the performances based on their visual presentation, innovation, and audience impact; finally coming up with the first, second, and third place holders.
The competing bands – who certainly warmed up the crowd and delivered their best – were Under Pressure, Alive, D’cord, Road 21, Ecstasy, Scotch Bright, Alter Ego, Dophormine, and Octaves.
Coming in at first place is Octave Band which made an excellent connection with the audience throughout the set through an astounding rendition that set the place on fire.
Road 21 Band got in at second place after their immediate launch into a lively punk rock, setting a catchy hook that brought the onlookers together in a bouncing back up as the beat dropped.
Lastly, Dophermine came in at third place as they captivated the audience’s attention from beginning up to the end of their splendid display of talent.
All band contenders hyped the crowd with their passionate performances with each group bringing their unique sound to the stage, giving the audience an unforgettable experience as they rocked out to a diverse mix of music genres. The bands poured their hearts into their music, ensuring everyone felt the rhythm and excitement of the competition, along with the stellar hosting of our very own Mr. Buddy Cagbabanua of the Provincial Information Center.
