Update from RHU General Luna
Good day!
After preliminary contact tracing, all 16 close contacts of identified patients with positive IgM rapid test results were found to be NEGATIVE except for one (1) person who tested positive for IgG (exposure greater than 2 weeks) with his only significant travel going to and from Surigao City. We are optimistic that no new individuals would test positive for IgM, which would indicate a lack of transmission.
The IgG results from individuals that traveled from Surigao City (for whatever reason) warrants investigation. The RHU will begin random testing of individuals from different barangays next week. If you are contacted, please cooperate as the test is free, and will go a long way to determine the real status of COVID in General Luna and Surigao del Norte.
All patients remain asymptomatic and are scheduled to be swabbed on Sunday, August 9, 2020.(Municipality of General Luna, Surigao del Norte)
