Being an advocate for sports development and to emphasize the significance of sport events in enhancing the city’s appeal as a sports tourism destination, the City Government of Iriga, through Mayor Rex C. Oliva, in partnership with the Iriga Table Tennis Club, led by its President Mr. Rainer Fenis, hosted the first ever Arriba Iriga Regional Table Tennis Tournament last June 24-25, 2023.
Fourteen (14) teams from all over Bicol Region competed in the 2-day tournament held at the Iriga City Sports Center. And the teams who emerged at the top are:

The Regional Table Tennis Tournament is part of the City Pintakasi celebration. The City Pintakasi concluded with a total of 10 sport events, highlighting the local government’s investment in sports tourism, recognizing potential of young athletes. (Jv Navarro Verdeflor Jr.)
