Pormal nga gipasiugdahan ang Turn-Over of Office Ceremony alang sa bag-ong Acting Provincial Director sa Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO) nga si Police Colonel Christopher M. Bermudez, nga misunod sa katungdanan ni PCOL Jovito M. Atanacio. Ang seremonya gipangulohan ni PBGEN Redrico A. Maranan, Regional Director sa PRO-7, ug gihimo sa Camp Sergio Osmeña Sr., Cebu City.
Si PCOL Bermudez, usa ka inila nga opisyal nga kaniadto gibutang sa Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), nagdala og dakong kasinatian ug lig-on nga liderato sa operasyon. Ang iyang pagtudlo misunod sa reassignment ni PCOL Atanacio nga karon itudlo isip Provincial Director sa Palawan.

“I give my snappy salute and full acknowledgment to PCOL Atanacio for achieving a zero-election-related violence record, truly making it the safest election in history. He is a good, efficient, and effective officer and a gentleman,” segon PBGEN Maranan.

“Now, the Cebu Province will have a new Provincial Director who is equally competent, efficient, and effective. The accomplishments and successes of your predecessor should be the baseline. The incoming should always see to it that his accomplishment is very far from the baseline, and I express confidence with PCOL Bermudez due to his experience, exposure, and expertise in all aspects of law enforcement operations,” dugang niya.
Si PCOL Atanacio mapasalamaton sa CPPO family ug gipasidunggan ang tanang kauban sa ilang panaghiusa ug paningkamot.
Sa iyang assumption speech, si PCOL Bermudez mipadayag og pagpaubos ug kadasig sa pagpanguna sa CPPO. “To the brave personnel of Cebu PPO, I am not here to walk ahead of you, but to walk beside you. Together, we will maintain the momentum, raise our standards, and fulfill our oath to serve and protect.”
Gisaksihan usab ang seremonya sa mga miyembro sa Command Group, Regional Staff, uban pang opisyal sa PRO-7 headquarters, ug mga sakop sa pamilya sa bag-o ug mohulip nga Provincial Directors.
