Davao City –   To further help fire victims of Brgy. Ilang in Davao City whose houses were burned down in an incident last April 29, 2020, the Office of Senator Christopher “Bong” Go distributed food packs, masks, face shields, meals, and medicines to 47 beneficiaries on Wednesday, October 14.

The Senator also gave away bicycles to selected recipients to help them in their daily commute to work. He also distributed tablets to chosen beneficiaries to help their kids with their blended learning implemented in schools.

Meanwhile, the Department of Trade and Industry has awarded 23 sari-sari store negosyo kits, 21 rice retailing negosyo kits, and three egg retailing negosyo kits to the victims through the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa program of the government during the follow-up distribution of aid.

Go had already given initial relief assistance on May 6, days after the fire incident happened in the area. Other government agencies, such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Health, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, and Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation have already provided their assistance to the fire victims.
