Black Saturday Ops Net 6 Law Violators In Caraga

Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez, Butuan City — Six personalities were captured in one-day police operation on Black Saturday, April 3 in Caraga according to Police Regional Office (PRO)13 Director POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M CARAMAT JR.

In Surigao del Norte, police arrested five individuals who were caught in the act of illegally fishing in a marine protected area/sanctuary.

Arrested in the seawater of Brgy. Jubgan, San Francisco town were: Renante G. Capangpangan; Eldin C.Giducos; Antonio C. Velez; Rassel I. Carabio, and Narciso D. Egona.

In addition, operatives of Madrid Municipal Police Station also arrested Danilo A. Iligan, resident of Brgy. Cabangahan, Cantilan, Surigao del Sur for illegal logging.

Confiscated from the suspect were Lauan lumber with estimated volume of 170 board feet and market value of ₱ 4,000. He will be charged with violation of PD 705 (Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines).

“Aside from securing the celebration of Lenten Season in the region, the police force is also implementing the reinvigorated anti-criminality campaign to arrest those law violators. Through the information fed by the local folks, our law enforcement operations became successful on the ground,” RD CARAMAT JR. added. (PMaj. Dorothy M. Tumulak)
