Cordillera cops have arrested five suspects and seized ₱ 190, 000 worth of shabu in separate buy-bust operation in Baguio City and Abra on November 8-9, 2021.
Operatives of Baguio City Police Office identified the suspects as Michael Fulgenio Cerezo, 43, Jay Kiwas Alamar, 27, listed as a Street Level Individual, Romel Fontanilla Mabalot, 39, Marjorie Lutis Ticuan, 28.
Suspect Cerezo was arrested by joint operatives of CDEU and Abanao Police Station after he sold one sachet of suspected shabu worth ₱ 6,800 to an operative who acted as a poseur buyer.
Alamar was arrested for selling five grams of shabu worth ₱ 34,000 to a poseur buyer.
Operatives also confiscated another one sachet of suspected shabu worth ₱ 3,400.00. from him.
Suspects Mabalot and Ticuan were arrested for allegedly selling four sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 20 grams worth ₱ 136,000.
The arresting officers seized additional one sachet of suspected shabu weighing more or less 1 gram worth ₱ 6,800 from suspect Ticuan.
Meanwhile, in Bangued, Abra, joint operatives of PIU/PDEU, RID, RIU-14, RMFB15, Bangued PPO, and Abra PECU captured suspect Marc Therenz Santamaria Antonio, 36 after he sold one sachet of suspected shabu weighing more or less 0.19 grams worth ₱ 1,292 to an operative who acted as a poseur buyer.
During his arrest, another two sachets of suspected shabu worth ₱ 2,312 were seized from his possession.
The arrested suspects and pieces of evidence seized were brought to the custody of the respective operating units for proper documentation and disposition while cases for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filled against them.
