Bacolod City has a total of 313,308 registered voters for the 2019 midterm elections.
Bacolod Election Officer Mavil Majarucon-Sia, said that they were able to delete a total of 1,241 names of voters during the 5-day Election Registration Board hearing recently.
Sia said that 963 voters were deleted due to death, 74 because of transfer of registration and 204 due to double registration.
The records of Comelec showed that Bacolod has a 5.3 % increase or there’s an additional 15, 725 voters for the 2019 elections compared to the 279, 583 voters during the 2018 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.
Meanwhile, Sia said that the official list of candidates for the 2019 election for Bacolod City may be released by the agency’s law department on November 19.* (Aksyon John Dale Salazar) photo courtesy of NDB
