As of Feb. 8, the province logged a 60 percent full vaccination output, and the cooperation of every local government unit is important to ensure an active participation in the scheduled national vaccination days.

Lacson also said the alert level status of Negros Occidental may not be lowered after Feb. 15, considering that the fresh COVID cases are still in triple digits.

The province is on Alert Level 3 until Feb. 15.

Lacson said he believes that another two weeks will be needed before the alert status can be deescalated.

He reminded local chief executives and other officials to ensure the strict implementation of health protocols to prevent the further spread of the virus. (Mitch Lipa via Negros Now Daily (NND), photo courtesy of NND)
