Bacolod City – The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod expressed its total support to the establishment of farm schools at Sum-ag National High School and Alangilan National High School in Bacolod City through a resolution it unanimously approved recently.
The resolution authored by Councilor Renecito Novero said the Department of Education- Division of Bacolod City has established two farm schools at Sum-ag and Alangilan National High Schools in Bacolod City.
It said the farm schools will need certain farm implements for its operations.
This program is extremely helpful and beneficial to farming communities in the City of Bacolod, the resolution added.
Copies of the resolution will be furnished the Secretary of Education, Office of the regional director of DepEd-Region VI, and the Office of the Superintendent of Schools- Bacolod City.
A copy will also be forwarded to the Office of Mayor Evelio Leonardia for whatever support which his office may possibly extend to this program.
