Combined elements of Isabela City Police Station together with PNP Special Action Force and Regional Intelligence Division 9 conducted operation on illegal possession of explosives and ammunitions at Purok 1, Brgy. Aguada, Isabela City, Basilan at about 11:50 PM of November 19, 2020. The operation resulted to the arrest of Ranger Siasion aka ʺAbu Rangerʺ aka Roseller Siason Mohammad, 33 years old, and a resident of Purok 1, Brgy. Aguana, Isabela City.
He was arrested by virtue of Search Warrant Number 04-2020 dated November 10, 2020 issued by Hon. Leo Jay T. Principe, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 1, Isabela City Basilan. The said subject is an Abu Sayyaf Group member under the leadership of Radzmil Jannatul Aka ʺkubaibʺ. Ranger Siasion aka ʺAbu Rangerʺ was involved in a terroristic attack last August 21, 2017 in Brgy. Tubigan, Maluso, Basilan which killed nine (9) innocent villagers including a thirteen-year-old and three (3) females.
Evidences recovered from the suspect were two mk2 hand grenade, five pieces 50 cal. ammunitions, two pieces CTG 40mm cartridge, 29 pieces 5.56 ammunitions, one plastic container of ammonium nitrate, one-piece ISIS flag and one black back pack.
