Be informed at about 11:30 AM of August 27, 2020, a concern citizen called Dapitan City Police Station (CPS) informing that allegedly there was a stabbing incident transpired at Sitio Langgam, Brgy. Talisay, Dapitan City. Immediately elements of Dapitan CPS led by PCpl. Manuel A. Projo III duty investigator proceeded to the area to verify the veracity of the said report.
Upon arrival on the said place, responding team successfully arrested the identified suspect Gerald Delostrico Acojedo, 25 yo, male, married and a resident of Sitio Langgam, Brgy. Talisay, Dapitan City.
Investigation conducted disclosed that at around 11:00 AM of same date, victim SATURNINO DELOSTRICO ACOJEDO, 30 yo, male, married, also a resident of the above-mentioned place together with the suspect had a drinking session suddenly indulge in heated arguments wherein the suspect drove his fish anchor towards victims head and stab his right leg.
Victim was rushed to Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital and sustained injuries on his head and right leg.
The arrested suspect is now under the custody of Dapitan CPS for filing of appropriate charges in court and will now face inquest proceedings for frustrated homicide.
