Be informed that on January 5, 2021 at about 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon, Jose Dalman Municipal Police Station (MPS) received an information from concerned citizen that there was an illegal logging activity at Brgy. Manawan, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga del Norte.
Thereafter, PNP personnel of Jose Dalman MPS composed of PEMS Marlon M. Requina, PSSg. Joseph J. Anghag, and PSSg. Ernesto S. Aniňon Jr went to the said place to verify the alleged incident. Upon arrival thereat, the team caught in the act Jinnie Lagutap Ferolin, 44 years old, married, and resident of Siari, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte cutting mahogany trees situated in public land along the side of national highway of said place using unlicensed chainsaw (Stihl) without permit to cut and Rex Gomolon Zamoras, 44 years old, married, a resident of Manawan, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga del Norte who instructed Jinnie to cut the same.
Apprehended persons as well as the chainsaw with serial no. 11224099 were now in the police custody of Jose Dalman MPS while the confiscated logs of mahogany tree around 1,648.512 board feet with estimated cost of ₱ 72, 534.528 was turned-over to the DENR-CENRO-Manukan headed by Mr. Jorex Bagasina-Forest Ranger for proper disposition.
