Police personnel of Alicia Municipal Police Station together with Alicia- BFAR conducted joint coastal patrol at the vicinity of Brgy. Litayon, Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay at 10:50 AM of December 26, 2020.
That resulted in the arrest of Rodrigo Graciano, 49 years old, married; Naser Dacula, 41 years old, married; and Jr. Padilla, 22 years old, singles all residents of Brgy. Timbang-Timbang, Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay, who were caught in the act engaging illegal fishing activity locally known as “hulbot-hulbot”.
Confiscated from their possession and control were one-unit fishing boat with Yamaha 18 horsepower engine, more or less 80 meters fine mesh net, and 130 meters rope with estimated total value of ₱ 70,000.00.
Arrested persons and confiscated fishing paraphernalia were brought to Alicia MPS for proper disposition.(PCpt. Edwin A. Duco, Chief Public Information Officer)
