Negros Occidental Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said the Provincial Legal Office will charge two more returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs) for falsification of public documents and violation of health protocols.

Diaz told reporters here that one of the ROFs is a resident of Sagay who came from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia but allegedly declared that he was a locally stranded individual.

The other is from Cadiz City who allegedly falsified his quarantine certificate.

Diaz said the first three ROFs to be charged are residents of Pontevedra, Negros Occidental who came from the United Kingdom and travelled via Istanbul, Turkey to Manila. They also declared themselves as LSIs.

“As soon as we get the complaint-affidavits, we will act accordingly,” he said.

Diaz also said that they will ask the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to authorize the PLO to file the case.

The Inter-Agency Task Force is expected to be furnished a report on the cases of the five ROFs.

Diaz said they will “plug the gap to ensure that it will not happen again in the future.” (Dolly Yasa via tdg, photo by tdg)
