1003rd Brigade Commander Col. Nolasco Mempin Led The Creation Of Checkpoint And Screening Site Of Covid- 19 In Talaingod


DAVAO DEL NORTE:   Early in the morning 1003rd Bde commander Colonel Nolasco Mempin INF (GSC) with 56th Infantry Battalion commander, Lt Col. Norman Valdez INF (GSC) was among those who led the Talaingod Inter-Agency Task Force Bantay COVID-19 checkpoint and screening site at Sitio Natulinan, Brgy Palma Gil, Talaingod, Davao del Norte.

The site lies at the boundary of Davao del Norte (Davao Region) and Bukidnon (Northern Mindanao).

The two military officers were with the local government of Talaingod, Municipal Health Office of Talaingod, MAGRO, Disaster Risk Reduction and Mgmt Office and the Municipal Police Office of Talaingod.

The Ata-Manobo municipality of Talaingod has already put in place defenses through Executive Order No. 13-2020 that Mayor Jonie Libayao signed on March 16, placing the town under community quarantine.

This was carried out even before the Davao Region lockdown at 12:01 A.M. March 19, to hoist a stronghold against COVID-19 infection and roll off a Unified Community Quarantine (Photos from 56th IB with reports from MIO Talaingod/ JMDAbangan)
