Anti-narcotic operatives in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) destroyed nine plantation sites of fully grown Marijuana plants in Tinglayan, Kalinga.
Combined forces from Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Police in the Cordillera destroyed 295,150 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants during a two-day massive operation on June 23 to 24 in Barangays Loccong and Buscalan, Tinglayan.
PDEA said the illegal weed was grown on nine plantation sites with a land area of 20,850 square meters worth PHP 59, 030,000 which were uprooted ad burnt on site.
The law enforcers track down the hemp plantation sites after the arrest of suspected marijuana couriers in a checkpoint in Bontoc, Mt. Province recently.
The two-day marijuana eradication was implemented thru PDEA-Kalinga OPLAN Linis Barangay XVIII and Kalinga Police Provincial Office OPLAN “06 Golf Fumaruwan”, composed of teams from PDEA- Kalinga, PDEA- Mt. Province, PDEA-RO I, PDEA-RO II, PDEA-MIMAROPA, Tinglayan MPS, Kalinga PPO, RIU-14, Kalinga PIB-DEU, 503rd RMFB 15 and 1st and 2nd COY KPMFC. Joe Manzano
