Arrest of Wanted Person
Be informed that at about 4:30 AM of August 23, 2021, PNP personnel of Leon B. Postigo Municipal Police Station (MPS) led by PMSg. Reynald G. Estoconing – Intel PNCO, together with PCpl. Richard A. Rosete, PCpl. Henry L. Sali and PCpl. Meranit M. Mendigana and proceeded to Barangay Tinuyop, Leon B. Postigo, Zamboanga del Norte purposely to serve and effect the warrant of arrest of Petronilo Elias Bagnol, a.k.a Loloy wanted person sighted thereat, who was charged for the crime of Anti-Gambling Law (PD 1602) with criminal case no. S-13417. At about 9:20 AM of same date, the said above mentioned operating team of the said station conducted manhunt operation wherein successfully arrested the wanted person Petronilo Elias Bagnol, 36 y/o (07/20/1986), male, married, Filipino, farmer, Grade II and a resident of Barangay Tinuyop, Leon B. Postigo, Zamboanga del Norte, by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Anti-Gambling Law (PD 1602), docketed under criminal case no. S-13417, issued by Nimfa B. Carreon-Padao, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 11, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte, dated August 17, 2021, with bail bond recommended amounting to ₱ 10,000.00 for his temporary liberty. Arrested wanted person is now under the custody of Leon B. Postigo MPS for documentation & proper disposition.
Campaign against Illegal Gambling (Tong-its)
Be informed that at about 1:40 PM of August 23, 2021, one Confidential Informant informing Liloy Municipal Police Station (MPS) that there was an ongoing illegal gambling activity locally known as “tong-its” at Barangay Canaan, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte. Intelligence personnel of the said station proceeded to the reported area to verify the veracity of the report. That upon arrival thereat it was indeed an illegal gambling activity, three personalities were caught in the act while engaging in illegal gambling activity (tong-its) identified as Rolito Bantilan Arceno, 34 y/o; Jemrey Colanse Abenido, 37 y/o; and Rolly Paramie Salazar, 55 y/o, all male, married and all residents of Barangay Canaan, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte. Confiscated from them were one (1) set of playing cards, four (4) pieces of ₱ 5.00 coins, 7 pieces of ₱ 1.00 coin, four (4) pieces of ₱ 20.00 bill and two (2) pieces of ₱ 50.00 bill respectively. All apprehended suspects were brought to Liloy Integrated District Hospital for medical examination and subsequently brought to Liloy MPS for proper disposition.
Report on Intercepted Smuggled Cigarettes
Be informed that at around 10:00 PM of August 23, 2021, PNP personnel of Sindangan Municipal Police Station (MPS) led by PSMS Fernando Catalon, while conducting OPLAN SITA at Barangay Poblacion, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte, intercepted one (1) blue single motorcycle Honda click with temporary plate number 090804 driven by Abulcair Tawantawan Matanog, 28 years old, male, married, Filipino and a resident of Barangay Bantayan, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte, loaded with one (1) sack of assorted cigarettes without legal permit presented with estimated value of Eight Thousand Pesos (₱ 8,000.00). Confiscated from the possession of the suspect were the following items:15 rims of New Far green Cigarettes; 5 rims of New Far red cigarettes; 5 rims of New Berlin Cigarettes and5 rims of Soda Cigarettes. Suspect was released from police custody after penalized through the issuance of citation ticket in violation of smoking ordinance of Sindangan.
Campaign against Illegal Gambling (Mahjong)
Be informed that on or about 9:45 PM of August 23, 2021, personnel of intelligence operatives of Dipolog City Police Station (CPS) led by PLt. Kent B. Gudmalin – Intel PCO brought to Dipolog CPS the living body of the following group of persons which was identified later as one Kris Cajocon Pagasian, 18 years old (04-03-2003), single and a resident of Barangay Gulayon, Dipolog City; Mark Glen Gumamo Jacob, 22 years old (03-06-1999), single and a resident of Barangay Sta. Felomina, Dipolog, City; Dante Agpasa Biolango, 42 years old (09-21-1978), married and a resident of Barangay Galas, Dipolog City and Rogelio Biolango Ombiang, 38 years old (07-13-1984), single and a resident of Barangay Galas, Dipolog City. Subject persons were caught in the act in plain view engaged in illegal gambling locally known “Mahjong” at Purok Malinawun, Barangay Sta. Filomena, Dipolog City. Recovered from their possession and control were the following: one (1) wooden table, three (3) wooden chairs, one (1) plastic chair, one (1) set Mahjong Tiles, two (2) pieces of Dice and bet money amounting to Five Hundred and Thirty Pesos (₱ 530.00) in different denomination. The arrested suspects were now under the custody of Dipolog CPS pending filing of appropriate charges in court while the confiscated items were turned over to investigation section for court exhibits.
