The Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Norte, under the leadership of Governor Rosalina “Nanay Nene” Jalosjos, celebrates the province’s exceptional performance in revenue collection – receiving the Top (2) Highest Locally Sourced Revenues with a total collection of Php 154,107,372 for the CY 2022. The provincial government received the esteemed Award of Recognition as presented by Ms. Brenda C. Miranda, the Acting Regional Director of the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Region IX, last December 12, 2023 at the Royce Convention Hall, Grand Astoria Zamboanga City.
The Province of Zamboanga Del Norte secured the second-highest revenue collection among the provinces in Region IX, and will continue to do so, under the guidance of the Provincial Administrator, Mr. Wilberth “Jojo” Magallanes in collaboration with the Local Finance Committee. Notably, the locally sourced revenues (LSR) encompass the total collected taxes, fees, and other service charges and receipts from enterprises throughout the province.
Acknowledging the efforts behind the award, Governor Jalosjos also extends her heartfelt appreciation to the people of Zamboanga del Norte for their unwavering commitment to paying taxes diligently and extends the honor received to the dedicated personnel of the Provincial Treasurer’s Office, headed by Mr. Jessie A. Concepcion. This achievement is a testament to the recognition of the ZaNortehanons of their responsibilities.
