Zamboanga: PRC Bakuna Bus arrives Zambo.


The Bakuna Bus of the Philippine Red Cross (ICRC) in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) arrived Zamboanga City Sunday and visited City Hall Monday morning.

PRC Project Bakuna Head, Mylene Baidiango, said that the Bakuna Bus is worth ₱ 2 million which includes supplies for vaccination, tent, speakers, and equipments used for taking vital signs.

The bus traveled from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao where the bus will already stay with Philippine Red Cross Zamboanga City Chapter.

The Mobile Bakuna bus will be deployed in Zamboanga City in line with Red Cross’ commitment to help and support the government in the fight against COVID-19 through vaccination of eligible population.

The bus will be deployed to strategic locations, specifically far-flung areas to vaccinate Zamboangueños.

The vaccination activity as well as the schedule will be a collaborative effort of the PRC and the City Health Office.

Baidiango said, for every area the bus will be deployed, they will target to vaccinate 300. (R.G. Antonet A. Go)
