The funeral cortege of the late former councilor Roel Elong Natividad, accompanied by family, friends and supporters passed by City Hall on the way to its final resting place at Forest Lake in Tumaga noontime Friday, December 23.

Mayor John Dalipe was on hand to pay his last respects to his former colleague and friend in the City Council.

A confetto was showered over the funeral cortege as it arrived in Valderoza Street.

The City Hall flag is flown at half-mast today, per executive order of Mayor Dalipe as an expression of the people’s bereavement on the untimely demise of the former councilor.

Natividad died of aneurism, December 16, as he turned 62 years old. A sportsman and a long-time member of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, Elong, as he was fondly called by friends and supporters, started his political career as chairman of Barangay Tetuan before joining the local legislative body.
