Zamboanga: Oplan Linis campaign tarpaulins

Barangay Sto. Niño leads the way in clearing campaign tarpaulins after the May 9 national and local elections in its area of responsibility.

With the help of the Summer Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) beneficiaries, the Barangay Council of Sto. Niño made rounds of the different poster areas to take down all campaign materials, regardless of party affiliation.

The COMELEC has urged candidates to remove their tarpaulin campaign materials in common poster areas and even in private properties with the elections now over.  Several candidates, both elected and defeated, have heeded the call.
