Mayor John Dalipe personally checks the status of the ongoing flyover project at Sta. Cruz-Gov. Camins road early Tuesday morning, as he orders its careful implementation and prompt completion.

As of April 4, 2023, total actual accomplishment of the P361.038 million project is 51.72%, which is way ahead of its total planned accomplishment of 48.62%, per report of the Department of Public Works and Highways.

Based on schedule, the project will be constructed in two but parallel phases-first, the flyovers and right of way (ROW) acquisition within 504 days amounting to P233 million, and the approaches costing P128 million within 360 days. The contractor, Frey-Fil Corp., vowed to finish the DPWH9-led project earlier than scheduled.

The project commenced September 23, 2022 with Dalipe and DPWH officials leading the groundbreaking rites.

Accompanying the mayor during the site inspection were City Engineer Christopher Navarro, Assistant Human Resource Management Officer Jericho Bustamante, DPWH officials, the contractor and several others.
