The Division of City Schools invokes Executive Order 66 which allows school authorities to suspend classes if the situation endangers the safety of the students and teachers.

City Schools Superintendent Dr. Roy Tuballa has mobilized the Division Office’s DRRM team led by OIC Chief of Governance Basilio Uy to monitor the situation in schools in flood-prone areas. School heads have also been directed to order class suspension, at their own level, if the situation calls for it.

In deciding class suspension, the school heads are to coordinate with the Barangay concerned, and to notify the Division Office for proper endorsement to the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office or CDRRMO.

As of 6am Tuesday, April 12, limited face to face classes are suspended in Don GEMS in Sta Catalina, Tugbungan Elementary School, Baliwasan Central Elementary School and Talon-Talon National High school.
