Mayor Beng Climaco Saturday morning turns over to Zamboanga City Medical Center Chief of Hospital Dr. Afdal Kunting, a check amounting to ₱ 5 million as the City Government’s assistance for the continuous operation of the ZCMC COVID-19 facility.
This, as the ZCMC, the COVID referral facility in Zamboanga Peninsula, is beset with challenges brought about by the spike in cases.
At the onset of the pandemic in 2020, the City also provided financial assistance to the ZCMC then under the leadership of then DOH9 Director Dr. Emilia Monicimpo.
Mayor Climaco said the city will continue to support and assist the ZCMC so it can continue to effectively and efficiently serve people in the Zamboanga City and the region.
