Mayor John Dalipe appeals for public support and cooperation on the implementation of rules and regulations mandated in 2 executive orders he issued to help ensure the peaceful and solemn observance of Dia de los Santos y Defuntos on Nov. 1 and 2, respectively.
Dalipe refers to EO JD 2022-95 which authorizes the implementation of a temporary traffic rerouting scheme in all roads leading to public and private cemeteries in the city which takes effect noon time of Oct. 31 to 5pm Nov. 1 and EO JD 2022-91 which provides prohibitions in cemeteries which takes effect 12 noon of Oct. 31 until 5pm of Nov. 2.
EO 2022-95 declareS “one-way zones” on roads leading to the public cemeteries in Talon-Talon, Tetuan and Sta. Cruz (Chinese and public cemeteries), Baliwasan, San Roque, Sta. Maria, Forest Lake (Phases 1 and 2) in Tumaga, Mercedes and Divisoria.
Likewise, the EO provides special prohibitions for all cargo trucks plying Dr. Evangelista St., Gov. Camins Avenue, Gov. Alvarez, Veterans Ave. and Mayor Vitaliano Agan Road.
The truck ban on these “one-way” zones will be lifted at 5pm on Nov. 1.

Vehicles are not allowed to park on all public roads and sidewalks, except on private lots designated as parking areas.
On the other hand, EO 2022-91 prohibits the following acts inside the private and public cemeteries from 12:00 noon of Oct. 31 to 5pm of Nov. 2: bringing of firearms, bladed weapons and other similar items; bringing, selling and drinking of liquor, bringing of backpacks, wearing of bullcaps, waistcoats/chalecos and hooded jackets.

Gambling is strictly prohibited as well so does the use of firecrackers and pyrotechnics. Parking areas will be designated outside the cemeteries.
