Zamboanga city shifts to alert level 1 effective March 1 to 15, 2022

AS ZAMBOANGA CITY SHIFTS TO ALERT LEVEL 1 effective March 1 to 15, 2022, the following initial guidelines, as approved by the LIATF, are released for the guidance of the public:

1.) Travelers coming from areas with higher alert level status are required to submit a negative RT-PCR test result (within 120 hours from the time of collection of specimen) OR rapid antigen test (within 24 hours from the time of collection of specimen).

  • Fully vaccinated and boosted individuals however, are exempted from the requirement.
  • Children below 18 years old need not undergo RT-PCR or antigen test, if accompanied by fully vaccinated and boosted parents/ guardians

2.) Children below 18 years old, regardless of vaccination status, shall be allowed to visit malls, parks and public places, for as long as they are accompanied by fully vaccinated parents or guardians.

3.) Curfew hours shall be lifted for individuals who are fully vaccinated and who received the booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

4.) Agencies and instrumentalities of government shall adhere to 100% on-site workforce.

5.) Public transportation shall be at full seating capacity.

6.) The conduct of social gatherings/ MICE events shall be at 100% capacity with fully vaccinated participants. The organizer must inform the City Tourism Office about the event and attach the participants’ vaccination cards through email and send it to:

  • People are encouraged to get COVID-19 vaccine booster, which improves protection against COVID, as this will be a requirement for participation in events come April, 2022.

7.) The public is strongly urged to continue practicing minimum health standards- wearing face mask, hand hygiene and physical distancing and to avoid the 3Cs – closed spaces, crowded places and close contact settings.

The Executive Order providing guidelines for the implementation of Alert Level 1 in tge city, will follow.
