The City Health Office (CHO) held its monthly conference on May 30, 2025. Dr. Dulce Amor D. Miravite, City Health Officer, inspired the team with her message.
MPOX was discussed by Dr. Ivy Rozeth Saavedra-Iturralde from City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) providing information on its transmission and prevention. While vigilance is essential, it’s worth noting that Zamboanga City has no confirmed cases as of this time.
The conference covered severe acute malnutrition PhilHealth Benefit Package presented by Dr. Fatima Ridzna Harain, and Pag-IBIG loan programs discussed by Maryjoy Alhindawi. Additionally, Vivian Lubaton provided an update on adolescent health programs.
The CHO is working diligently to ensure public health and safety, and the community can be assured of their efforts in addressing these concerns.
