The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR9) released P439,500 worth of livelihood input materials for local fisherfolks during ceremonies graced by Mayor John Dalipe and District 2 Cong Mannix Dalipe represented by Jose ‘Jojo’ Dalipe, Thursday, November 10, 2022, at BFAR Regional Office 9, at R.T. Lim Blvd.
Livelihood input intervention distributed include 20 units of 13 horsepower marine engine, 3 units mobile fish vending tri-bike, 5 sets processing/kitchen utensils and 10 units fiber glass ice box.
These interventions are aimed to continually bring support and assistance to marginalized fisherfolks in the city, including women and youth.
Present during the turn-over were OIC Regl. Director Alzath Cunting, Zamboanga City Provincial Director Dr. Bonifacio Duterte & other BFAR staff. Also present was Analiza Salili, Fisheries Coordinator, representing City Agriculturist Carmencita Sanchez.
