City health officer, Dr. Dulce Amor D. Miravite is urging those with Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) symptoms to have themselves tested for the protection of everybody.
The appeal was made as some are trying to hide their Covid symptoms to avoid testing and if positive, avoid isolation.
Miravite explained that if they will not be tested, there will be no contact tracing. Those people you have been with might get the disease without even knowing it.
If testing is done, early protective measures can be done such as quarantine and isolation.
“This will prevent the spread of the disease. (Referring to testing)” Miravite stressed.
The city now has 17,822 cases of Covid 19, active cases 2,551, recovered 14,487, and death 784.
Currently both isolation facilities and hospitals are full and the city is having difficulty when it comes to oxygen supply.
