Mayor John Dalipe Thursday expressed gratitude to Sen. Jayvee Ejercito and District II Congressman and Majority Leader Mannix Dalipe for coming to the aid of Zamboangueños who are struggling due to challenges, through the assistance to individuals in crisis situation (AICS) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The mayor said this, as he, together with Vice Mayor Josephine Pareja spearheaded the distribution of the cash assistance to 397 indigent residents coming from different barangays, at the City Coliseum in Tetuan Thursday morning.
Each of the 397 beneficiaries received P5,000, for a total of P1. 98M. The assistance is intended to help alleviate their plight amidst the crisis situation.
Sen. Jayvee Ejercito, in a message read by Assistant Human Resource Management Officer Jerico Bustamante assured his continuous assistance to the people of Zamboanga as a show of gratitude for their support to him as well.
The beneficiaries were from barangays Zone III, Baliwasan ,Guiwan ,Tetuan ,Tumaga , Tugbungan, Pamucutan,Boalan ,Sinunuc, Upper Calarian, Zambowood, Cabatangan, Pasonanca, Maasin ,Sta. Catalina, Ayala, Curuan, Manicahan, Sta. Maria, Divisoria , Putik, Salaan, Canelar, San Roque, Campo Islam, Mampang , Sta. Ninno , San roque Cawa cawa,Talon talon,Zone I ,Rio Hondo , Pasabolong , Talisayan , Lamisahan, Cawit, Zone 2, Culianan , Divisoria .
Assisting Mayor Dalipe and Vice Mayor Pareja during the payout were Executive Assistant V Atty. Rochelle Magnolia Tamin, Executive Assistant II Ron Orendain, Assistant City Administrator Rodolfo Saavedra Jr. and representatives from the DSWD-9.
