As part of its preparation for the implementation of the nationwide COVID-19 Vaccination Program, the City Government through the City Health Office led the vaccination simulation activity at the Sta. Maria Barangay covered court Saturday morning.
Invited observers to include Health Regional Director Dr. Joshua Brillantes lauded the efforts of Mayor Beng Climaco and the health team as he gave the activity a rating of 7 out of 10.
“Congrats Mayor Beng, ZC Covid Vaccination Team and uniformed personnel for job well done. We will continue to convince our constituents to accept this vaccination,” the health director said.
ZCMC Chief of Hospitals Dr. Al Kunting and Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines, Inc. – ZC President Dr. Maritess Maxino expressed commitment and support to the city government’s undertakings to ensure the successful implementation of the anti-COVID-19 program.
Mayor Climaco commended and thanked City Health Officer Dr Dulce Miravite and the entire CHO force including the participants to the simulation exercise for their dedication and commitment. She said the activity will help address the gaps and challenges in the preparations.
Dr. Miravite said the activity is intended to determine the city’s preparedness for the actual vaccination rollout in the coming months. She said a series of simulation activities will be conducted in the different health districts in the city.
Prior to the start of the mock vaccination activity in Sta. Maria, the ZCPO-SWAT also conducted a simulation on vaccine deployment from the CHO in Pettit Barracks to the Sta. Maria covered court.
