Shooting Incident
A shooting incident transpired in front of Mabuhay Municipal Hall, Barangay Poblacion, Mabuhay, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 3:05 PM of February 26, 2021 wherein victims Restituto B. Calonge, vice mayor of the said place, Engr. Edgar Pampanga and Abduhari Gapor were shot by unidentified suspect. Initial investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, while the victims were having a conversation at above-mentioned place, an unidentified suspect on foot approached and suddenly shot them using .45 caliber pistol based on recovered cartridges recovered at the crime scene. The victims sustained gunshot wounds on different parts of their bodies that caused the untimely death of vice mayor Calonge and Engr. Pampanga while Abduhari Gapor was rushed to the hospital for medical attention. The suspect fled towards unknown direction on board a black Honda XRM 125 as a get-away vehicle. Police personnel of Mabuhay Municipal Police Station is now conducting hot pursuit operation while nearby police stations are directed to conduct checkpoint operation.
Man Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Kasanyangan
Police operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 5 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Dumpsite, Barangay Kasanyangan Zamboanga City at 5:20 PM of February 26, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Samala Lumbo Y Hayara, 52 years old, male, married, unemployed and a resident of the said place. Recovered during the operation were Six (6) sachets of suspected Shabu with estimated value of ₱2,000.00 weighing 0.29 grams and two (2) bills of ₱100.00 registered as marked money. Confiscated items were brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination. He is presently under the custody of the said police station for proper disposition
Man Arrested in San Roque in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation
Police operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 together with 904th Maneuver Company conducted buy bust operation at Melad, Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City at 7:30 PM of February 26, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Edsel Vicencio y Fernando, 50 years old, male, married, elementary graduate, and a resident of the said place. Recovered during the operation were six (6) sachets of suspected Shabu with estimated value of ₱4,000.00 weighing 0.58 grams and two (2) bills of 100.00 pesos registered as marked money. Confiscated items were brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination. He is presently under the custody of the said station for proper disposition
Stabbing Incident
A stabbing incident transpired at Villa, Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City at 9:20 PM of February 26, 2021 wherein victim was identified as Efren Arat y Pasiola, 42 years old, male, married and the suspect was identified as Ronel Bogard Garcia, 35 years old, single, both are residents of Purok 2, Villa Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim together with his friends were chatting and repairing a motorcycle when the suspect, believed to be under the influence of liquor, approached them and challenged for a duel then immediately punched one of the victim’s friend, the suspect suddenly pulled a knife then stabbed the victim several times. The victim sustained four (4) stabbed wounds and was rushed to West Metro Medical Center. The suspect is presently under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 for proper disposition.
Vehicular Accident
A vehicular incident transpired along National Road, Purok African Daisy, Brgy. Pangi, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 3:00 AM of February 27, 2021 involving an blue/gold Isuzu truck wing van, with plate number RME 827, driven by Richie Apduhan Hipaga, 34 years old, a resident of Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay; black/red Honda Wave 100, with plate number 2769 JJ, driven by Bryan Limbaga Baguioro, 25 years old, male, resident of Barangay Monching, Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay with back rider Clifford Rizallosa De Pedro, 17 years old, male, resident of Barangay Don Andres, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. Initial investigation revealed that prior to the incident, both the motorcycle and the wing van were travelling in an opposite direction, upon reaching the place of incident, the driver of the single motorcycle lost control and accidentally bumped the approaching vehicle. The driver of the single motorcycle and his back-rider were brought to the provincial hospital for treatment but the driver was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. The driver of the vehicle is now under the custody of Ipil Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
Man Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Pagadian City
Police personnel of Pagadian City Police Station together with 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted drug buy-bust operation at Purok Sunshine, Barangay Santiago, Pagadian City at 12:06 PM of February 26, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Manter Baratucal Dimaucom, 61 years old, male, married, and a resident of Purok Sunshine, Barangay Santiago, Pagadian City. Seized items were (1) piece plastic transparent sachet containing substance suspected of Shabu; three (3) pieces plastic transparent sachet containing substance suspected of Shabu, evidences weighed 0.80 gram, with estimated value of ₱ 5,440.00; one (1) unit ITel Cellular Phone; Two (2) blades; one (1) lighter; and two (2) ₱ 500.00 as marked money bearing serial numbers CV182463 and CD344928 respectively. He is now temporarily detained at the said police station while appropriate charges for violation of RA 9165 “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” is now being prepared for filing in court.
