Bacolod City – Bacolod Emergency Operations executive director Em Ang refuted reports that the city government is charging for vaccine doses.
“Bacolod’s COVID-19 vaccines are for free,” Ang said.
She added that the EOC has nothing to do with social media posts by people allegedly being charged for their vaccine.
Ang said the EOC has not authorized any person to collect fees for the vaccine.
She also urged the public to be wary of unscrupulous people who are trying to take advantage of the situation.
She urged those who have not been inoculated yet to register as they do not encourage walk-ins.
This is to effectively control the crowds and maintain proper distancing at vaccination sites, Ang said.
Records showed that as of July 6, 2021, the city government had inoculated 59,945 persons.
