IATF announced today six (6) positive RT-PCR results for the Province of Zamboanga del Norte.
Four (4) positive RT-PCR results are from the Municipality of Sibuco. One (1) from Dipolog City and one (1) from Dapitan City.
It is said that all 4 new cases of “Local transmission” in the Municipality of Sibuco and cases of “Community Transmission” in the cities of Dipolog and Dapitan, wherein the cause of transmission is yet unidentified.
INFORMATION on the new POSTIVE CASES in the Province:
Patient 042 is a 26 years old male. A school teacher who was exposed to Patient 039 from Sibuco, Zamboanga del Norte.
Patient 043 is the 7 years old daughter of Patient 039.
Patient 044 is the 8 years old daughter of Patient 039.
Patient 045 is the 22 years old son of Patient 039.
All four (4) new cases from Sibuco are asymptomatic. They have been quarantined from the time they were known to be close contacts of Patient 039 and were swabbed for specimen on September 16, 2020.
Patient 046, is a 90 years old male from Dipolog City with no known travel history. He is currently admitted at ZNMC with admitting diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Patient manifested cough, cold, shortness of breath and body malaise, and with co-morbidity of hypertension.
Patient 047 is a 70 years old Female from Dapitan City with no known travel history. She is currently admitted at Zamboanga del Norte Medical Center (ZNMC). Patient manifested body malaise, diarrhea, cough, cold, shortness of breath and sore throat, and with co-morbidity of hypertension and diabetes.
Contact tracing is still being conducted for all 6 news positive cases.
