A tricycle booking application will soon be launched in Zamboanga City to better serve those using the tricycle as mode of transportation on October 18 at a local hotel located in this city.
Nursoud Abing, Carry Ko proprietor told RPN DXXX, it is a mobile data App for Transport Services for tricycles in the city, who are bonafide members of tricycle associations registered with the LTFRB and Tricycle Adjudication Board.
The public will have to download the application before they can use it. After downloading the application, they can now book tricycle service using the said application door to door.
Abing said, it is safe because only legitimate tricycles are allowed to join, this can avoid overcharging because you already know how much you will pay, it has a receipt, and you will know the plate number and who is the driver.
There are 300 partner drivers. They are members of two tricycle associations 3 Wheelers Wonder Association (3WWA) and City Brothers, and one tricycle cooperative Samahang Operator Drivers Transport Service Cooperative (SODTRANSCO)
At this time of pandemic, contact tracing will also be easy because they have the electronic transaction records.
Since these tricycles are legitimate passengers are insured. Passengers can also earn points every ride which is convertible to cash.
“This is all about giving back to the community” Abing stressed.
These drivers were also trained to follow strictly the health protocols such as cleaning of the units, wearing of facemask and face shield. They will also earn through percentage on the booking fees.
