The “Pag-Arriba Ni Amiga” Food and Trade Fair is being held at the Iriga City Plaza from March 1 to 31

The City Government of Iriga organized a month-long culinary and commerce fair for women groups to display and sell their products as part of the National Women’s Month with the theme: “WE for gender equality and inclusive society”.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mayor Rex C. Oliva, Vice-Mayor Edsel S. Dimaiwat, City Councilors Hon. Santos A. Audal Jr., Hon. Melnan R. Murallo, Hon. Katherine Dominique C. Lagrimas, Hon. Dandreb N. Abonite, Hon. Jessie DV. Abonite Jr., Hon. Rodolfo Jeff B. Tino, Hon. Wilfranco E. Guevara, SK Federation President Michael Samarita, heads of offices, LGU employees, civil society organizations and women’s groups.

Mayor Rex, who led the opening ceremony of the trade fair, said that the local government puts premium and high value on women and their importance in the city.

During this National Women’s Month celebration, the local government has lined up various activities and events to promote women empowerment and gender equality.
