The Tawag kay Doc telemedicine program of the city government, which ended recently after three months of airing in partnership with over 150 doctors in various special fields, will be aired anew.

This time, the city government is partnering with Family Medicine practitioners.

During the first part of the Tawag Kay Doc, the city partnered with the Philippine College of Physicians (PCP) and the Philippine Pediatric Society (PPS).

Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte said over the Davao City Disaster Radio that as in the first telemedicine, the second round also aims to cater to residents of the city who needs medical attention.

Instead of going to the hospital or a clinic, they just have to call the central 911 and ask to be connected to the telemedicine.

Residents have been urged to skip hospitals and clinics amid the coronavirus pandemic unless in cases of emergency to avoid contracting the virus.

“Duna tay Tawag ka Doc Part 2. Ang atong mga kaigsuonang Dabawenyo di na kinahanglan moadto og hospital, pwede na sila motawag sa 911, then ang 911 i-link sila sa correct nga doctor, then ang doctor ang motubag kung unsa imo kinahanglan, and padalhan ka og 911 prescription,” Mayor Inday said.
