Ambassador William J. Lima, Philippines’ special envoy to China, together with Mr. Hans Tan of the Filipino Chinese Global Alliance (FCGA), personally turned over to the provincial government ₱ 8.5 million worth of relief goods for typhoon-affected families, on February 8, 2022. Aside from the relief goods, the province also received air-conditioning units plus 1 ambulance and 1 firetruck, each with drivers.
Together with Vice Gov. Geed Gokiangkee, I am honored and grateful to personally welcome and meet with them to discuss their plans to help in the rehabilitation of Siargao Island. I thus look forward to the fulfillment of their commitment to bring in more investors from the People’s Republic of China and the FCGA members for the rehabilitation of Siargao and the rest of Surigao del Norte.
From all Siargaonons, salamat karajaw! Indeed, together we overcome and build a better Siargao and Surigao del Norte!
